Did you know that tomorrow, September 27th is Native American Day? Well it is in several states. Even if it isn't in your state it would be something fun and important to discuss with students! It will also teach students about a topic they might not know much about. I am just learning about the day and have listed a few links below! If you know about it and have information, add a comment and maybe we can gather some resources in one place for everyone! Learning about others is a great way to build connections and tolerance!

Hi Everyone! So this school year I am staying home with my son that was born in May! But I have so many resources from being a school counselor I thought I would continue to update my blog and website throughout the year. I just updated my site and I added a new page that outlines a sample classroom guidance plan for the year. Check it out if you are looking for a new idea for classroom guidance. So today I found a great blog by "The Crafty Counselor." It looks like she did this last year and it has some great ideas to promote school counseling to the staff! I wish I would have seen it sooner. Each day of the week she did something special for her staff. Check it out if you get a second :-)
